My Hands Matter

“My Hands Matter” is my expression of how deeply our hands have been taken to control our minds. We used to use our hands to create, write, paint, build, and connect. Today, our hands are trapped in a loop of dopamine and distraction.

Hands are a part of human nature, the part that creates, builds, touches, heals, and expresses. Our hands are our freedom, our intelligence, our ability to shape our reality. Today, our hands have been captured by screens, notifications, and endless scrolling. We have fallen into the addiction of smartphones and social networks an addiction so powerful that it has conquered not only our time, but our minds and attention.

In this painting, the golden rider represents the invisible forces that rule today’s world,
that control us without us even noticing.The horse moves forward with confidence, not because it knows where it is going, but because we let it lead us blindly.

The golden outlines represent how beautiful, attractive, and seductive this digital world looks but underneath the beauty lies a silent domination. A golden cage.

This artwork reflects a truth I feel:
We are losing our focus, our creativity, our presence, and even our identity to machines that fit in the palm of our hands.

This piece is a reminder that our power is still inside us.
We can reclaim it the moment we choose to be present again, to create again, to think again.
